How to Recycle Your Sustainable RenewMailer
The RenewMailer is an environmentally conscious packaging solution, constructed with a liner composed of PET plastic (polyethylene terephthalate, #1 plastic) and an outer envelope made from LDPE (low-density polyethylene, #4 plastic).
It’s designed with sustainability in mind, making it easy for you to recycle its components. Follow these simple steps to ensure proper recycling of your RenewMailer.
Steps to Recycle Your RenewMailer
Separate the Envelope from the Interior Insulation
Gently open the RenewMailer and remove the interior insulation from the outer envelope.
Reuse or Dispose of the Interior Insulation Appropriately
The interior insulation is made from PET plastic. Check if your local recycling program accepts PET plastic. If not, consider reusing the insulation for other packaging needs or dispose of it responsibly.
Recycle the Envelope
The outer envelope is made from LDPE #4 plastic. Recycle it using one of the following methods:
Curbside Recycling:
If your local recycling program accepts LDPE #4 plastic, place the envelope in your curbside recycling bin.
Drop-off Locations:
Many grocery stores and retail locations have designated bins for recycling plastic bags and films. Look for these bins to recycle your envelope.
